That seminar on The Visual Display of Quantitative Information seems to have taken hold. Very interesting graphic. Edward Tufte would be so proud! Can we expect an annual edition? Merry Christmas you two bipeds and your four quadrapeds.
I’ve been trying to scan the barcode thingy on your card with my Palm Pre all week. Turns out it’s a smart phone, but not that smart. Your chart above really helps us visual learners to grasp the enormity of your year. What the hell’s a V-lookup? Does it know how to change diapers? If so, I want two, please.
Is the Palm Pre like the Palm Pilot from 1998? If it is, you’re way more stubborn with your insistence of keeping old models – more stubborn than me, which I respect. Anywho, V-lookup is a function in Excel that’s super duper useful, and it’s displayed in the graph to show that I switched jobs on or around April. I wouldn’t be surprised if Excel had a diaper-changing function though. You should get Office 2010 and see!
Pretty clever card you guys. I like the scanner. I love the griswald reference. And also not surprised to see the nerd factor sky rocket this past year. Looks like you guys had a great year. Hopefully we will see you some time in 2012!
I didn’t know I could comment here! When I visited before, there were no comments, so I assumed no comments were possible. Silly me. Happy 2011! (and 2012!)
Well, lovely lines and stuff, you two, but for one without a smart phone or any help in finding an actual card or message, you’ve successfully confused me and robbed me of a view of your lovely and handsome faces. Help!
Pretty impressive, you two…
Merry Christmas, and I love you!

Who knows what sort of visualization technologies will be available for nerding out in 2012? Only time will tell.
We’re delighted to see that the nerd factor is at an all-time high. And the years of marriage is steadily growing. Love you!

Thanks Brock! We might even be headed your way some time this year. We’ll keep you posted!

Yeah! Comments everywhere! Happy 2011, the year of the Hauenbell baby.

Sorry for the trouble Mims, but we’re helping you venture into the new age of technology! I think by navigating here I’d say it’s a success. Welcome!
